In the grim darkness of the far future, where there’s only war, Owlcat Games continues to expand its critically acclaimed CRPG Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader.
The Story Premise: Trazyn the Infinite’s Obsession
At the core of The Infinite Museion is Trazyn the Infinite, the enigmatic Necron Overlord and legendary collector from Warhammer 40k lore. Trazyn’s obsession with curating a vast, timeless museum of relics, rare species, and pivotal moments, usually acquired through cunning schemes and proxies, takes center stage as he turns his attention to the Von Valancius dynasty, your Rogue Trader’s lineage.
The official teaser trailer intensifies the unsettling atmosphere: fragmented voiceover whispers “Trapped in the past… Death denied… The museum of Trazyn. The infinite” over chilling images of stasis-locked horrors and the eerie glow of Necron technology.
Developer interviews add further intrigue, hinting at richer lore surrounding Inquisitor Lord Kalcazar’s shadowy history and offering fresh twists on Astra Militarum regiments suspended in time.
Fresh Features: Implants, Dungeons, and Voidship Love
Owlcat Games is delivering substantial gameplay expansions with The Infinite Museion, building on the CRPG’s tactical depth and lore immersion. The crown jewel is the all-new implants mechanic—unique augments inspired by Necron “living metal” tech that any party member can equip for strategic battlefield advantages. Think adaptive buffs, xenos-tainted enhancements, and Adeptus Mechanicus synergies that could turn the tide against immortal foes.
New Questline
Around a 15-hour epic infiltrating Trazyn’s secret vault—a sprawling mega-dungeon packed with shifting corridors, priceless relics, and “guardians that defy understanding.” Seamlessly integrates from Chapter 2 (Footfall) without save breaks. Also, there is an implant system, a new companion, and expanded content.
Release Roadmap and Access
“The Infinite Museion” launches “coming soon” in 2026 as DLC III and part of Season Pass 2 (alongside Processional of the Damned). Expect PC (Steam, Epic, GOG), PS5, and Xbox Series X/S compatibility, with base-game specs: mid-range rigs welcome (i5, 8GB RAM min).
