This is not a typical horror movie. From the beginning, Daddy’s Head feels wrong. Not loud, not chaotic, just uncomfortable in a quiet way. It doesn’t try to scare you instantly. It lets the tension build slowly.

The story follows a boy dealing with the death of his father, but things start to feel off very quickly. There’s this constant feeling that something isn’t right, and the movie never gives you a clear answer. That’s one of the things that makes it work.

You’re never fully sure what’s real. The movie plays with your perception. Small moments, strange behavior, things that don’t make sense, it keeps you thinking the whole time. The atmosphere is strong. It’s quiet, slow, and heavy. There aren’t a lot of big scenes or loud scares. Instead, it builds discomfort through silence and tension. You’re always waiting for something to happen.

The creature design is one of the most disturbing parts. It’s not overdone. It’s not flashy. But it’s unsettling enough to stay in your head after the movie ends. That kind of horror works better than something loud and obvious. At the same time, it’s not for everyone. The pacing is slow, and if you’re expecting constant action or jump scares, you might get bored. It doesn’t explain everything clearly, and some people will find that frustrating.

But for me, that’s part of the experience. It’s not trying to entertain you in a typical way.
It’s trying to make you feel uncomfortable.

And it does that well.

My Rating

8 / 10

Slow, strange, and genuinely unsettling. This is just my opinion. If you watched it and felt differently, feel free to comment and share your take.
