Talk to Me (2023) review 8.5 out of 10 rating

I didn’t expect this movie to be that intense.

At first, it feels simple. A group of teenagers playing with something they don’t fully understand. But the more it goes on, the darker it gets.

What I liked most is how possession is treated. It’s not slow and religious. It’s fast. Addictive. Almost like a drug. That idea makes it feel modern and different from classic exorcism movies.

The tension builds naturally. Once things start going wrong, they don’t slow down. And some scenes are genuinely disturbing, not because of gore, but because of how real the consequences feel.

It doesn’t romanticize the supernatural. It shows how reckless curiosity can spiral into something uncontrollable.

The performances feel natural. It doesn’t feel overacted or dramatic. That makes everything more believable.

It’s not perfect. Some emotional beats could have gone deeper. But overall, it works.

For me, it’s one of the strongest modern possession horrors in recent years.

My Rating

8.5 / 10

Intense, modern, and genuinely disturbing in the best way.

This is just my opinion. If you watched it and felt differently, feel free to comment and share your take.
