Owlcat Games announces: The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, sharing a gameplay trailer, a closed beta, and a planned 2027 release.

Owlcat Games has shared new gameplay footage for The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, a story-driven sci-fi action RPG set in The Expanse universe. The trailer shows third-person, cover-based combat with various weapons, futuristic gadgets such as zero-gravity grenades and drone swarms, and an Exploits system that lets companions use the environment to defeat groups of enemies.

Players take on the role of a customizable Pinkwater Security mercenary, choosing to be an Earther, Martian, or Belter, who survives a deadly attack on Eros station with their twin sibling, “J.” After stealing an experimental ship, the main character gets caught up in a conspiracy that stretches across the solar system. The story takes players to well-known places like Ganymede, Ceres, Mars, and Luna, where choices affect crew relationships and the story’s outcome.

Key features include real-time tactical commands, strong companion support in combat, and a ship that serves as a growing hub for the player’s team. This hub offers new chances for exploration and interaction as the game progresses.
