Quick answers about One Rating and how we work.
One-rating.com is your independent source for straightforward reviews, ratings, and the latest news on video games and movies. We cover everything from new releases and indie gems to major films, streaming drops, and cross-media adaptations all in one place.
We are a small, passionate team of gamers and cinephiles. Our reviews are 100% independent: we buy or legally access our own copies (no paid placements or sponsored scores). We aim for transparency and honest opinions that help you decide what to play or watch next.
We use a simple 1–10 scale (with half points allowed, e.g. 8.5) across key categories like story, gameplay/performance, visuals/audio, replay value/rewatchability, and overall enjoyment. The final score is a weighted average, but we always explain our reasoning in detail so you can see if our tastes align with yours.
We aim for daily updates: fresh news headlines, trailers, announcements, plus in-depth reviews for major releases (and select indies/streaming titles) within the first week or two of launch. Check our Latest or Hot Right Now sections for the freshest content.
Both! We love underrated indies, experimental films, passion projects, and niche releases; they get the same care as AAA blockbusters.
We are currently running with a very small team of writers. In the future we will add more content for our readers to explore.
Use the Contact Us page or email contact@one-rating.com. We love hearing ideas for reviews, news tips, or topics you would like to see explored.
Yes! Sign up for our newsletter on the homepage for weekly highlights.
Completely free: no paywalls, no subscriptions required. We may include non-intrusive ads or affiliate links, which help keep the lights on.
We respect your privacy. We only collect minimal data (for newsletter sign-ups or comments if enabled). No selling of personal info; full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Our search is still improving! Try keywords like the title plus review or news (e.g. Elden Ring DLC review). If it is missing, it might be upcoming content; feel free to ask.
No problem: reach out via the contact form or email. We are here to help make your gaming and movie decisions easier.
